Meet Andy

Andy Callan, or “Coach Andy” as he is known to many, is a successful entrepreneur, family man, and community volunteer who is proud to call the city of Washington home. In all his years as a coach and resident of Washington, he has been a champion of our city, its school district, and the good people who live here.

Business Experience: Andy’s businesses encompass landscaping, paving, snow removal, and home improvement, giving him industry experience that is well-suited to the needs of the city.

Volunteer Activities: Coach Andy has been a fixture at local ballfields and basketball courts for ten years, spending untold thousands of hours with our city’s next generation. The lifelong friendships and bonds of trust formed with the families have given him back far more than he could have ever imagined when he first donned a coach’s jersey.

Personal Life: Andy and his wife are the proud Prexie parents of three boys who attend the Washington School District. He is a member of First Presbyterian Church and a committeeman on the Washington County Democratic Committee.

The Issues

The city of Washington is a wonderful place to live. Like all places worthy of calling home it has its challenges, too. Andy will work with his colleagues to harness federal, state, and local funds to address blight in the city, and channel his passion for sports and recreation to improve our great parks and playgrounds.

Andy believes in the power of teamwork and says, “There’s so much we can accomplish in Washington if we work together.” To join the team, fill out the form below and send Coach Andy your thoughts about ways we can make the city better, together.
